It's that time of the year again when tissues are your best friend and there always seems to be something new going around. No one likes being ill, especially when we have yoga to do! Cancelled practises no more, the Zenesse sour will help your body to defend against any nasties you may come across. This juice shot contains:

  • Garlic
  • Ginger

Lemon:  Lemon is not only refreshing and delicious in juices, it is an excellent source of Vitamin C and Flavonoids (antioxidants) this means they assist in protecting your body from cancer. Lemon also lowers the risk of a stroke and can control blood pressure. Lemon promotes a healthy complexion, supports weight loss and boosts your immune system. Lemon also increases your iron absorption which helps with anaemia. 

Garlic: Packed into the tiny cloves of garlic are large amounts of nutritional value. Manganese, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Selenium and Fiber are all present . Helping defend against illnesses such as the common cold,  as well as reducing blood pressure and cholesterol levels. It is also theorised that Garlic minimises the risk of developing Alzheimer disease and Dementia.
Overall, Garlic is not only delicious but also a powerful food, with the ability to reduce your risk of illness as well as improve athletic ability.  

Ginger: Ginger is proven to treat many forms of nausea, especially morning sickness, and is even used as a natural remedy to treat migraines. It is loaded with antioxidants and helps your body fight off colds, as well as diseases like high blood pressure, heart and lung disease. Ginger can help with weight loss and blood insulin levels, and can also relieve joint pain and other symptoms of osteoarthritis.  

Cayenne: Cayenne Peppers contain an amazing amount of nutrients; Protein, fats, carbs, Vitamin C, B6 and K to name a mere few! They are also a source of Capsaicin, which can help with pain relief, improve your athletic performance as well as lower blood sugar. On top of all this, Cayenne peppers also have anti-inflammatory properties, as if we didn't need any more benefits! Who doesn't need a bit of spice in life? We certainly do!
