OUR HOUSE RULES + COVID -19 INFORMATION

ABOUT OUR STUDIO

Our yoga room is set to a normal temperature with no mirrors and lit by candlelight or soft lighting, so you can spend time working inwardly with your own body and how it feels without distraction. Classes are typically set to music. The playlist will vary depending on the type and intensity of the class.

STUDIO HOUSE RULES

Keep this in mind to make the most of your flow with us:

  • We ask that you show up and be present in our studio space, therefore no mobile phones are to be brought into the yoga room.
  • Please be aware that any noise made in the stairway and outside of the yoga room may interrupt a student’s practice. We ask that you be respectful and keep noise to a minimum in these areas.
  • As a kindness to fellow students practicing with you, we ask that you keep your body and feet clean when joining us in the studio and refrain from wearing heavy perfumes or smoking just before class.
  • Classes start and finish on time. We ask that you show up on time and leave on time. This way you do not miss the warm-up which is essential to your safety and savasana at the closing to help ground and conclude your practice.
  • It is your responsibility to keep the studio and instructors informed of any injuries, physical issues, or medication that may affect your practice when you first visit us. We will help find suitable classes and modifications depending on your needs and conditions.

COVID-19 RULES

In order to ensure that we will all feel safe and happy coming back to the studio we will be implementing safety procedures as outlined in the government guidelines, as well as a few more of our own.

PRECAUTIONS

Your safety and that of our staff is our top priority. In line with government guidance, we have put in place measures to ensure that Indaba is a safe place for you to practice.

Keeping A Safe Distance
:
We have reduced the timetable and number of physical spaces available in the studio to help members keep a safe distance from each other. We will also be using a 1-way and 1-way out system within classes.

The studio has been rearranged and marked out with yoga mats for us to use safely, so it is easy for everyone to follow. You can use the mats laid out or bring your own mat and place it on top of our mats.

Our toilet is open and our fitting changing room is available but we are asking that you come dressed ready for class if possible.

The studio will be well ventilated before, during and after each class.

As an additional precaution, we'd like to encourage our patrons to be cashless.

Extensive + Frequent Cleaning:
We will be ensuring the studio is regularly cleaned and checked to ensure the highest possible levels of hygiene.  We will deep clean the studio every night with high-grade antiviral disinfectant. We will also regularly clean handrails, door handles, the drinking fountain, and other communal used areas such as workstations, the reception desk, and countertops.

We have installed 1 hand sanitiser dispenser outside the studio, along with 1 hand sanitiser dispenser in our shop, so it is easy to regularly clean your hands during your visit. Additionally we ask you to sanitise your hands before entering the studio area to keep yourself and others safe.
